Since it was first established in 1951, Gerber Electric Ltd. has broadened the range of services it offers to individuals and businesses across Southwestern Ontario. These services include residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural electrical, pole line work, solar energy, underground electrical, generators, heating/cooling, refrigeration and plumbing.

We at Gerber Electric Ltd. are proud of our heritage, and as of 2016, we have been in business for 65 years! Our Master Electrician is a third generation Gerber Electric electrician, and we continue to be a family owned and operated business.

After 22 years as a Union Gas Fitter, Carl Gerber purchased the Main Street business, Glencoe Radio Electric, from Mr. Wilbert Hind. Two years later in 1953, the gas fitting, plumbing, electrical, propane and appliance business was moved from Main Street, Glencoe, Ontario to his home residence and became known as C.J. Gerber Electric.

In 1975, Carl’s son Bruce and his brother joined their father to reinvent C.J. Gerber Electric to Gerber Electric Ltd. It continued as a family owned and operated business, dedicated and committed to great service, advanced products, innovation, integrity, safety and excellent workmanship. Now on 3rd generation Gerber's, Gerber Electric is owned and operated by Stephen and his wife Stacey. In 2019 we expanded to our current location, 278 Elizabeth Street, Glencoe.
